Curfew update: No travel through Western Province for any reason

Colombo (Sri Lanka), Oct 30: Police Media Spokesman DIG Ajith Rohana stated that there is no opportunity to travel from one province to another through the Western Province at any time when the curfew has been imposed.
The Police Media Spokesman stated that it is prohibited to travel through Western Province especially by the Expressway.
He added that all exits and entry points on Expressways in the Western Province are manned by the Police with additional checkpoints and no one will be allowed to enter the expressway, except for authorized persons under exceptional circunstances and emergencies.
Although the curfew imposed in the Western Province will end at 5.00 am on Monday (Nov 02), the previous quarantine curfew imposed on 68 police divisions will not be lifted.
Meanwhile, 25 persons have been arrested for violating the curfew yesterday (29) alone and 1260 persons have been arrested and 180 vehicles have been seized so far since imposing the curfew, he added.
