Hanoi [Vietnam], January 30: 'Possessed by Ghosts 2' is attracting attention with its star-studded cast, including artists Van Dung, Kha Nhu, Quang Tuan, Doan Quoc Dam, and others. Newly revealed plot details have piqued audience curiosity.
The producers of "The Corpse Possessed 2" have just released the official poster, drawing attention with its dark, ritualistic setting, evoking the feeling of witnessing a forbidden moment sealed between life and death. At the center of the frame, Minh Như and Mỹ Ngọc (played by Khả Như and Ngọc Hương) sit close together in blood-stained clothes. Their lifeless eyes and eerie smiles pique viewers' curiosity.
Surrounding the two sisters was a sealing circle of ropes and burning candles, creating a chilling, dark ritual. The flames cast a suffocating glow on the figures' faces, making the space even more oppressive. Around the circle, other family members knelt and clasped their hands in supplication to the malevolent entity residing in the sisters' bodies.
The cast, including Quang Tuan, Van Dung , Kha Nhu, Doan Quoc Dam, Ngoc Huong, Le Thuy, Dao Anh Tuan, and Phuong Binh, appear with edgy, austere, and haunting appearances. Every glance, every gesture exudes a sense of unease, contributing to the mysterious portrayal of a tragic family.
The return of Kha Nhu
The official trailer for The Corpse Possessed 2 has also been revealed, taking viewers back to the time before all the tragedies of the first part occurred. This time, the character Minh Nhu (played by Kha Nhu) appears on her journey back home after a long time away, carrying the hope of mending her family but inadvertently opening the door to disaster.
Minh Như's return was far from welcome. On the contrary, she was seen by her own family as an "omen of misfortune," as a series of mysterious paranormal phenomena began to engulf the house. The tragedy escalated when My Ngoc, Minh Như's younger sister, repeatedly warned of a female demon lurking around the family, before suddenly dying and... coming back to life in a bizarre and chilling form and manner.
Witnessing her younger sister being torn apart by dark forces, Minh Nhu is forced to confront her deepest fear: the truth behind the curse that haunts her family. As evil begins to claim lives one by one, Minh Nhu's quest for the truth becomes a life-or-death race.
Besides Khả Như's role, Ghost Possession 2 also brings back Quang (played by Quang Tuấn) - the husband associated with the haunting events of the previous installment - ​​and Aunt Hồng, played by artist Vân Dung. Simultaneously, the film introduces a series of new faces in Minh Như's family, portrayed by actors Đao Anh Tuấn, Phương Bình, Doan Quốc Đam, and others, contributing to a gloomy and unsettling family portrait.
Directed by Pom Nguyen, the film is scheduled to be released in theaters in March 2026.
