Hanoi [Vietnam], September 6: Bao Ngoc thrilled the audience by making it into the top 6 of the final competition. Meanwhile, the beauty queen from the Dominican Republic was crowned Miss World.
The Miss World 2026 final took place in Nha Trang on the evening of September 5th. Le Nguyen Bao Ngoc was the Vietnamese beauty queen competing in this beauty pageant. She competed against 100 other contestants for the prestigious crown.
Ahead of the finals, the beauty queen from Can Tho secured a place in the top 40 thanks to winning the Top Model competition in the Asia-Oceania region. Additionally, she made it to the top 20 in the Head to Head Challenge and the top 24 in Beauty With The Purpose. Le Nguyen Bao Ngoc was predicted to win by the renowned beauty pageant website Missosology. Meanwhile, representatives from the Philippines, France, Nigeria, and others were also considered strong contenders.
How did Bao Ngoc perform in the Miss World finals?
In the opening performance, Bao Ngoc appeared in the "Sunlight on the Sky" outfit, inspired by the image of a young woman from Northwest Vietnam performing the H'Mong people's flute dance during springtime. She impressed with her radiant smile and confidently raised the Vietnamese flag amidst the cheers of the audience. Prior to this, many Vietnamese beauty queens sent their best wishes to Bao Ngoc for the final competition night at Miss World 2026.
Afterward, Bao Ngoc and the other contestants entered the evening gown segment. She wore a fishtail-style design that accentuated her curves. Possessing a height of 1.86 m and excellent performance skills, the beauty from Can Tho confidently strode across the stage to the cheers of the large audience.
The contestants returned to the stage in modernized ao dai (Vietnamese traditional dress), highlighting their feminine and graceful beauty. The organizers officially announced the top 40 finalists. The European region included beauties from the UK, Germany, France, Spain, Gibraltar, Belgium, Ukraine, Wales, Poland, and Scotland. The Americas and Caribbean region included candidates from Puerto Rico, the Dominican Republic, Trinidad and Tobago, Canada, Belize, French Guiana, Brazil, Peru, Argentina, and the USA.
The contestants from the African region included beauties from Zambia, South Africa, Nigeria, Zimbabwe, Eritrea, Mozambique, Malawi, Kenya, Tanzania, and Senegal. Meanwhile, Bao Ngoc, along with candidates from Indonesia, the Philippines, Malaysia, Cambodia, China, the Cook Islands, India, Türkiye, and Lebanon, were the representatives from the Asia-Oceania region who were named.
