Curtain falls on fourth round of Qatar Drag Race Championship

Mar 02, 2026

Doha [Qatar], March 2: Curtain fell on the fourth and penultimate round of the 2025-26 Qatar Drag Race Championship last Friday. The event was held at the speed track of Qatar Racing Club under the generous patronage of H.E. Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Thani, Club Chairman, and in the presence of the Club's General Manager, H.E. Sheikh Jabor bin Khalid Al Thani.
The round extended over three full days. The first day was dedicated to qualifying sessions (both first and second rounds), which continued on Thursday, while Friday was reserved for elimination rounds across all categories, culminating in the final races and the crowning of the top three winners in each of the eight participating categories.
In the INDEX 10.00 category, the final race featured a showdown between Abdulaziz Al Hail and Ahmed Hassan. Hassan had previously claimed the titles of the opening two rounds and was aiming for a third this season. Meanwhile, Al Hail was making his first appearance in a final race; however, that did not prevent him from capturing his maiden championship title, leaving Hassan in second place. Third place on the podium went to Ali Yousuf Rabeea, winner of the previous round.
The INDEX 9.00 category witnessed a completely new podium lineup this round, as Rameeh Al Rumaih secured his first title of the season. Bader Al Foudri and Ahmed Al Emadi finished second and third respectively.
In the INDEX 8.50 (Cars) category, Hamdan Al Kaabi celebrated his second consecutive victory, earning his second title of the season. This time, he triumphed over Hamad Al Ajmi, who finished second, while Mustafa Atat-champion of the first and second rounds-claimed third place on the podium.
The three car categories competing over the eighth-mile distance delivered intense competition. In the INDEX 4.80 category, Mohammed Al Furaih advanced to the final for the third consecutive round. After settling for second place in the previous two rounds, he finally captured his first championship title, defeating Rashid Al Juhani, who celebrated his first podium finish with second place. Third place went to Saeed Al Balushi, winner of round two.
Al Balushi returned to the podium once again-this time from the top step-after winning the INDEX 4.50 category title, marking his second triumph in this class. He secured victory over his brother Rashid, who faced him in the final race. Rashid, in turn, finished second for the second consecutive round, while Ibrahim Abbas Ibrahim, champion of the previous two rounds, claimed third place.
Rashid Al Balushi made up for his earlier final defeat to his brother by winning the Super Street category final against Mohammed Ali Mohammed. This victory marked his third title in the category, following his wins in the first and second rounds, while Hussein Redha settled for third place in this round.
Al Ansari claims
two bike titles
The largest number of participants in a single category during this round was recorded in the INDEX 8.50 Bike class, with 30 riders competing through elimination rounds leading up to the final race. The final brought together Abdullah Al Ansari, champion of the opening two rounds, and Shihab Bourbaa. The two had previously met in the final of round one, where victory went to Al Ansari. He repeated that result this time to secure his third title of the season, while Bourbaa finished second and Mohammed Ali claimed third place.
In the Street Bike category, Al Ansari secured his second title of this round after winning the final race against his rival Ghanem Al Dhaheri, who settled for second place. Meanwhile, Abdulwahab Bouqmaz earned his second podium finish of the season with a third-place result, having also finished third in round two.
H.E. Sheikh Jabor bin Khalid Al Thani, General Manager of Qatar Racing Club, crowned the top three winners in each category.
