Hanoi [Vietnam], September 15: Celine Dion broke down in tears on her return to the music stage after years of treatment for a rare disease. The diva said that living with the illness every day had led her to decide to make it her reason to live.

Singer Celine Dion attracted attention when she returned to perform in Paris, France, on September 12th. According to the Daily Mail , the 58-year-old star couldn't hold back her emotions upon returning to the music stage after being forced to cancel the remainder of her Courage world tour scheduled for 2022-2023. After performing the opening song "On ne change pas ," the Canadian diva tearfully shared: "I promised myself I wouldn't cry. But then I did."
Celine Dion expressed her happiness at being on stage in the city she loves and emphasized that it was all thanks to everyone's support and love. "I also have to admit that the journey hasn't been smooth. It's been longer than I expected and I've had to stop unexpectedly many times," the " Power of Love" singer said , referring to her long break from singing while battling a serious illness.
"But I didn't give up. Amidst the distant mountains, I still saw a glimmer of light ahead. I always believed in that light. And now, it has appeared. The sun... the sun is here. The sun is right before my eyes," the singer said emotionally. She continued, "I promised that I would return to the stage. And today, I am here, singing for you and also singing for myself, singing live on stage!" The star, born in 1968, thanked the audience for their support and patience and expressed her gratitude for everyone's continued love.
Celine Dion also spoke about her arduous journey of battling a rare disease and expressed: "Living with this illness day by day, I gradually learned to accept it. And I decided to turn it into a reason to keep living." The owner of the hit " My Heart Will Go On" confided to her fans: "Look around here. We never know what the person sitting next to us is going through. There are people facing difficulties, loss, and grief. There are also people spreading positive energy and joy. So let's share that energy with each other. That's the meaning of music."
The singer told the crowd, "Tonight, we'll sing, dance, and celebrate together."
